About Energy Social Programs
The NSW Government’s Energy Social Programs includes 6 energy rebates and a crisis support scheme, Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA). Every year, these programs help eligible pensioners, veterans, families, self-funded retirees and people with certain medical conditions pay their electricity and gas bills.
In the 2023-24 financial year, the NSW and Australian Government co-funded the National Energy Bill Relief to help eligible NSW households and small businesses reduce their electricity bills during increased cost of living pressures. The Australian Government extended and expanded this program in the 2024-25 financial year. The NSW Government continues to support delivery of the National Energy Bill Relief.
