Net zero construction materials for government
In 2021 a series of briefings were undertaken with NSW government executives and leaders on using low emissions building materials in their operations.
With representatives from all 3 levels of government it showcased opportunities in drive net zero emissions and grow the circular economy in construction.
Low emissions building materials
The NSW Government is working with industry to encourage the voluntary use of low emission building materials or LEBMs. These materials include ‘green’ steel and concrete, and alternative products such as geopolymers.
