Overview
The Seniors Energy Rebate helps Commonwealth Seniors Health Card holders pay their electricity bills.
How much is the rebate
Customers receive $200 each financial year.
Who can apply
- be named on the electricity account
- hold a valid Commonwealth Seniors Health Card.
If you received the Low Income Household Rebate, you cannot receive the Seniors Energy Rebate.
How to apply

1. Check your eligibility
Check the eligibility requirements and confirm this is relevant to you.
You will need:
- your concession card details
- your electricity account details.

2. Apply
If you're a retail customer:
If you're a retail customer and can't apply online:
- Download and complete the Seniors Energy Rebate for retail customers application form (PDF, 171 KB).
- Attach a copy of all pages of your most recent electricity bill or invoice.
- Post your application to:

If you're an embedded network customer:
If you're an embedded network customer and can't apply online:
- Download and complete the energy rebates for embedded network customers application form (PDF, 286 KB).
- Attach a copy of all pages of your most recent electricity bill or invoice.

3. Review and assess
If your application is approved, the Seniors Energy Rebate will be deposited into your nominated Australian bank account.
