The Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability Directorate within NSW Treasury drafted a new Regulation to replace the Electricity Supply (Corrosion Protection) Regulation 2014, which was to be automatically repealed on 1 September 2020.
The proposed Electricity Supply (Corrosion Protection) Regulation 2020 and an accompanying regulatory impact statement was prepared for public review and feedback.
The proposed Regulation supported the Electricity Supply Act 1995 by streamlining the Regulation governing the safe operation of electricity through corrosion protection systems.
The closing date for submissions was 30 June 2020 and the Electricity Supply (Corrosion Protection) Regulation 2020 was remade on 1 September 2020.
