We need to grow NSW’s renewable energy supply chain capacity and capability to meet the growing demand for renewable energy infrastructure.
That’s why we’re working with manufacturers across NSW to turbocharge the renewable manufacturing sector that will help NSW reach net zero by 2050.
About the grant
We are investing in projects that support NSW’s renewable energy generation, storage and transmission by stimulating local manufacturing for the renewable energy sector.
The objectives of this grant opportunity are to:
- drive economic growth across NSW
- grow NSW’s renewable energy supply chain capacity and capability
- alleviate supply chain risk and secure supply for the NSW renewable energy sector.
You can apply for between $5 million and $30 million funding per project for up to 50% of eligible project costs.
This is a single stage application process. You must submit your application using our grant management system (GMS). Find out more in the ‘How to apply’ section.
This grant is part of the Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative, to help fast-track emissions reductions and build the technologies that we need to further our renewable transition.
Types of projects we will fund
We’re looking to fund projects that will manufacture eligible renewable energy infrastructure at a commercial scale. Types of eligible infrastructure include components suitable for grid-scale renewable energy generation, storage and transmission. These include but are not limited to:
- wind towers
- solar panels
- batteries
- transmission cables.

We encourage applicants with projects based in the Hunter and Illawarra regions to apply as these are areas of strategic interest for the NSW Government.

Submit your application online
You must submit your application using our grant management system (GMS). Applications close on 25 August 2026 at 12:00 pm (AEST).
Once you create your application in GMS, you can edit it at any stage before you submit it by the application closing date.
