Switch to solar

NSW is experiencing a solar power boom. Across the state, record numbers of households are installing solar to cut their energy bills and reduce emissions.

Maybe it’s time for you to make the switch to solar?

How household solar works

Small-scale solar photovoltaic systems (household solar panels) are installed on your house. They capture sunlight and convert it into electricity to be used in your home. This reduces the amount of electricity you need to buy from your energy company.

Solar panels produce electricity when the sun is shining, so they are well suited to homes using energy during daylight hours.

Many households also choose to add a battery to their solar system. When you install a home solar battery system, you can store the energy you produce and use it in the evening or on cloudy days.

The benefits of solar

A home solar or solar battery system can benefit your household by:

  • cutting your energy bills
  • reducing your carbon emissions
  • increasing your self sufficiency
  • improving the resale value of your home.
