Visitors to the 2025 Asia Pacific (APAC) Hydrogen Summit are invited to participate in a week-long program of events showcasing the unique hydrogen opportunities in NSW.
Expressions of interest (EOIs) are now open to visit key hydrogen locations in regional NSW and take part in an exclusive trade and ports-focused forum in November 2025, before the official Summit begins.
EOIs close at 5:00PM (AEST) on Wednesday 16 July 2025. Get in early as places are limited.
Summit week events
Learn more about the program of events and site visits happening in Sydney and regional NSW from November 17 to 21 November 2025.
Please note specific project sites mentioned below represent leading examples of each region’s industry strengths only. Visits to Port Kembla and Newcastle are confirmed but specific sites will be determined based on site availability and operational needs. Final confirmation of the pre-Summit program will be made closer to the event.

See the Illawarra Hydrogen Hub, home to Hysata’s ground-breaking hydrogen electrolyser facility
Visit the Port Kembla Hydrogen Hub and key players contributing to its development. This hub will kick-start the adoption of green hydrogen in NSW for transport, industry and electricity. The Port Kembla area hosts Australia’s largest integrated steelworks, Australia’s first hydrogen truck refuelling station and export infrastructure through the Port.
The Illawarra is also home to Hysata’s electrolyser manufacturing facility. This next-generation technology is the world’s most efficient electrolyser. It is lowering the cost of green hydrogen as a renewable fuel source with 95% efficiency.
Find out more about BOC’s Illawarra Hydrogen Technology Hub and Coregas’ launch of Australia’s first hydrogen heavy vehicle refuelling station located in Port Kembla.

See Newcastle, home to the Clean Energy Precinct and the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub
Visit Newcastle in the state’s Hunter region. Newcastle is positioned to become a major hydrogen hub, with strong transmission infrastructure, a large skilled workforce and export capacity through the Port of Newcastle.
Newcastle is home to the Port of Newcastle’s Clean Energy Precinct. The Precinct is one of Australia’s most promising sites for green hydrogen and ammonia production, storage, and export. The Precinct has the infrastructure and workforce ready to support gigawatt-scale projects that will drive regional growth and decarbonisation.
Newcastle is also home to the Hunter Valley Hydrogen Hub, which is currently under development. This hub will deliver a safe, reliable and commercial-scale green hydrogen to Orica’s existing ammonia facility and support the supply chain in Newcastle’s industrial and port zone.

Network with industry stakeholders to advance the future of hydrogen in ports and global trade
Network and connect with senior leaders to explore the future of hydrogen and derivatives in ports and global trade. This exclusive forum will help advance hydrogen trade by unlocking the demand, expertise and infrastructure from ports in key markets from around the world.
